Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ZeDent dental practice management software for Israeli clinics.
What is ZeDent?+
ZeDent is cloud-based dental practice management software built specifically for dental clinics in Israel. It provides appointment scheduling, digital patient records, an interactive odontogram, billing with Israeli green invoice support, treatment planning, real-time analytics, and WhatsApp-based patient communication, all in a native Hebrew RTL interface with full English support.
What's the best dental practice management software for Israeli clinics?+
The best choice depends on clinic size and needs, but for Israeli clinics the leading options are cloud-based platforms with full Hebrew RTL support, Israeli VAT (18%) handling, green invoice compliance, WhatsApp patient messaging, and DICOM imaging integration. ZeDent is purpose-built for all of these requirements and serves clinics from solo practitioners to multi-branch networks.
How much does ZeDent cost?+
ZeDent offers three plans: Basic at ₪438/month or ₪350/month billed annually (up to 3 users, 500GB storage), Professional at ₪625/month or ₪500/month billed annually (up to 5 users, 1TB storage, priority support), and Premium at ₪900/month or ₪720/month billed annually (up to 8 users, 1.5TB storage). Beyond 8 users each additional user is ₪100/month (₪80 billed annually), and multi-branch networks get custom Enterprise pricing. Every software feature is included in every plan. Annual billing saves 20%. All plans include free installation, staff training, and data migration from your previous system, handled by our specialists, plus unlimited support in Hebrew and English, automatic updates, and cloud backups. No setup fees.
Does ZeDent integrate with WhatsApp?+
Yes. ZeDent uses the official WhatsApp Business API to send automated appointment confirmations, 24-hour reminders, and post-visit thank-you messages. Two-way patient replies automatically update appointment status. Clinics that adopt the integration typically see a meaningful drop in no-shows compared to SMS or email reminders.
Is ZeDent compliant with Israeli Ministry of Health regulations?+
Yes. ZeDent complies with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, Ministry of Health digital medical records circulars, and Tax Authority green invoice requirements. Patient data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit, protected by an immutable audit log, role-based access control, and 7-year medical record retention.
Does ZeDent support DICOM imaging?+
Yes. ZeDent integrates with major dental imaging systems via the DICOM standard, supporting panoramic X-rays, bitewings, CBCT scans, and intraoral camera images. Images are embedded directly in the patient's chart with annotation and measurement tools.
Can ZeDent handle Israeli green invoices and VAT?+
Yes. ZeDent issues green invoices compliant with Israeli Tax Authority standards, with sequential numbering, digital signatures, 7-year retention, and automatic 18% VAT calculation. No external billing software is required.
How does ZeDent handle Israeli dental insurance?+
Clinics working under insurer arrangements can turn on the optional insurance module. You define your own list of insurers, and each gets a price list holding two numbers per procedure code: the patient's deductible and the tariff you claim from the insurer. An insured patient is priced from that list automatically, is billed and receipted for the deductible only, and every completed treatment opens a claim in a dedicated worklist with a status, a commitment number, filters, and export. ZeDent does not submit claims and does not connect to insurers: you submit through the insurer's own channel and update the status manually.
Is ZeDent suitable for a solo dentist?+
Yes. The ZeDent Solo plan at ₪438/month (or ₪350/month billed annually, 20% savings) is designed for solo dentists and includes up to 3 users (dentist + assistant + reception), 500GB cloud storage, and every software feature. No server or IT infrastructure required.
Can ZeDent handle multi-branch dental networks?+
Yes. The ZeDent Enterprise plan is built for multi-branch clinics and networks: custom user count and storage, a contractual 99.9% uptime SLA, a senior account manager, custom API integrations with your internal systems (HR, BI, branch systems), and on-site training for your teams. How can I evaluate ZeDent before committing?+
Start with a live demo on your own clinic data, so you can see exactly how a working day, a treatment note and an invoice look in your practice. You can also start on a monthly plan, month to month with no commitment, and move to annual only once the system has proved itself. Free onboarding, staff training, and data migration are included, so you evaluate it in real production conditions.
How long does it take to migrate from old dental software to ZeDent?+
Most clinics complete migration in 2-3 weeks. ZeDent provides free data migration from most common Israeli dental software via CSV/Excel import, with validation, a parallel-run period, and staff training. There's no operational downtime during the switch.
Does ZeDent work offline?+
ZeDent is a cloud platform that requires an internet connection for full functionality. However, the Progressive Web App (PWA) caches the day's schedule locally, allowing limited offline viewing during brief connection interruptions. Modern Israeli clinics typically use 5G cellular as a backup to prevent any disruption.
How is ZeDent different from Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental?+
Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Open Dental are US-centric platforms not designed for the Israeli market. They lack native Hebrew RTL support, don't handle Israeli VAT (18%) or green invoices, model insurance the American way rather than the Israeli deductible-and-arrangement way, and aren't compliant with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law's data residency requirements. ZeDent was built from day one for Israeli clinics.
What kind of support does ZeDent offer?+
All plans include support in both Hebrew and English via WhatsApp, phone (+972-52-3440083), email ([email protected]), and in-app chat. Professional and Enterprise plans add priority response times (under 1 hour) and dedicated account management. The support team understands Israeli dental regulations and clinic workflows.
